Terms of service

These terms apply to merchants who install Mint Stock Forecast ("the app"), made by Mint Labs ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
The service
The app imports your products, stock and the last 60 days of orders from Shopify and calculates sales rates, days of cover, stockout dates, reorder points and suggested order quantities. On Pro it also forecasts per location, groups reorders into purchase orders by vendor with CSV downloads, and can email you a daily low-stock digest. We may improve or change features; we will not remove a paid feature you rely on without notice.
Forecasts are estimates
Forecasts are calculated from your recent sales, your stock and the settings you enter (lead times, safety stock, case packs and minimum orders). The app shows how each number is calculated, but it can't know about future events such as promotions, seasons outside the data it can read, supplier delays or data that is wrong in your store. You decide what and when to order and remain responsible for your purchasing decisions; check the suggestions before you place orders.
Billing
Plans are billed by Shopify every 30 days in USD after the free trial. You can cancel at any time by changing plans or uninstalling the app. Charges are handled entirely by Shopify under Shopify's terms.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the app available, accurate and secure, but it is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid for the app in the 3 months before a claim.
Data processing addendum
When the app processes personal data on your behalf, you are the controller and we are the processor. We will:
- process data only to provide the app's features, following your instructions given through the app's settings and actions;
- process only the minimum data needed: for each order line the Shopify order ID, line item ID, variant ID, order date, quantity and fulfilling location. Customers' names, email addresses, phone numbers, addresses, prices and payment details are never requested from Shopify or stored;
- delete order-line data once it is older than 60 days;
- never sell data, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models;
- keep it confidential and limit access to authorised personnel;
- encrypt it in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (Cloudflare D1 encryption at rest);
- use Cloudflare (hosting, database, queues and email sending) and Shopify as our only sub-processors;
- delete all store data after uninstall (shop redaction), and delete the order lines named in customer erasure requests forwarded by Shopify;
- help you respond to data subject requests (the app lets you download what it holds for a customer's orders) and notify you without undue delay of any personal data breach.
Changes
We will post changes to these terms here and update the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
